Early Childhood is a critical time where rapid physical, cognitive and social development takes place in a child’s development. While families play a pivotal role in their children’s literacy development, it is essential for the development of the brain and language as well. EXCEL Learning Center is a unique childcare facility, because of the way the instructional program is designed and implemented. The EXCEL Learning Center approach is innovative and committed to enhance families through learning. Our goal is to facilitate learning and to encourage your child to be the best that they can be. The instructional team here is highly qualified and has a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help your child thrive and transition in this environment. The educational background of the EXCEL team holds 50 plus combined years of services and experience in the content areas of Early Childhood Development, Social Services, Counseling, Business Education, Library Science and Public Relations.
EXCEL Learning Center is confident by the time a child transitions into public school, he/she will have acquired the necessary skills, and met the state’s standard mastery for public education. This early childhood exposure will afford
your child an opportunity to be prepared for the challenges that lie ahead in public school and beyond. In addition to teaching the state’s required standards for academic learning, they will be taught age appropriate high order thinking skills, problem solving skills, effective communication, and strategies for comprehension.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
EXCEL Learning Center believes that all children were born capable to learn.Unfortunately, they will not all learn at the same rate of speed. The teachers at EXCEL Learning Center will offer differentiated learning opportunities to target each child’s unique learning modality. Children will be encouraged to soar and explore materials by participating in a variety of activities to spark their interest. We genuinely promote John Dewey’s theory, “children learn by doing”. Therefore, the children entrusted to EXCEL Learning Center will be actively engaged at all times, and the teachers will seek every opportunity to enhance learning even in the mist of dramatic play and fun times.
